The other day, I was just listening to Don Campau’s Meteors And Pickles, the first tape I ever got from him, back in ’87 it was, I think. A really great tape. Well, this here is just to announce another new release of his Living Archive Of Underground Music.
This time he’s featuring Cologne legend Harald “Sack” Ziegler. Did I ever mention how surprisingly normal all these people look? These wild ‘we-take-no-prisoners-we-will-flood-the-planet-with-our-unrequested-creativity’-people like Sack or Zan Hoffman?
Anyway, don’t forget to follow Don Campau’s ongoing going through the history of the underground, he’s publishing his online mag every month, and he’s doing his monthly radio show available as podcast in the US and in Europe. He has also a huge back catalogue of CDs where you can get the aforementioned Meteors And Pickles (well, nothing beats the original analog cassette, but that one will be very hard to find, I presume!).
Did I already tell you that I’m planning to release new productions in the cassette-only format? Well, I do – stay tuned! And look at the old ones – I’ve added almost all to Discogs up to now.
